Maybe you were really taken elsewhere. It doesn't seem possible, but your bodies were unconscious for two weeks.

I'm pretty sure I saw most people who were asleep here in that place. I obviously can't say for sure though if that was really them or just some sort of dream view or illusion, though.

Maybe they were able to take us somewhere with just our minds rather than our bodies. It wouldn't surprise me.
