[An exhausted looking Sunao flips the comm on. In stark contrast to the winter afternoon/evening, Sunao's face is covered in ashes and her eyes are bloodshot. She looks worn out if anything. The side of the building near her seems to be charred, as is the ground nearby. The air is hazy.]I wanted to let everyone know about the museum. There was a ( Read more... )

[He has no luck with these things lately and is across the city.]

Perhaps someone doesn't enjoy history.

You think it was done on purpose?

[Tiredly scrubbing some of the ash off her face.]

I'm surprised it doesn't happen more here. Most things are dead, or dry...

... and not to mention it's cold. I expected to see more fire everywhere but "expect the unexpected" is the normal sound I'm hearing here.

[He is heading that way to come take a look for himself.]

If it was indeed intentional... I'd love to know their reasoning and motive. That would be so much more exciting than if it aught fire by accident.

It was the same last year. I keep expecting the forest to catch... from what I've seen, most of the trees are dead in there.

[If he does, he'll notice Sunao slumped up against one of the more intact-looking walls. She's trying to get some strength back--and trying to stay awake, more or less.]

I don't see a point in destroying the artifacts here. People have already seen them, right?

Ah, has the fire been completely put out?

Yes. It took awhile, but all that's left is some smoke.

That's a relief! Do you need any help?

Well... we're going to have to see how much damage there is. If you want to come help with that.

Though maybe wait a few minutes. There's still a lot of smoke clearing out...

[ CARES NOT ABOUT THIS FIRE] Sunao.. are you fairing alright?

I think so... I'm not hurt, at least.

[Being a bit shonen hero about this, as usual. She's definitely exhausted/not in good condition either.]

Do you know if there were signs of arson?

When the smoke clears out more, I'm going to look around inside. I don't know much about arson though.

If you do, maybe you could look? I think it could easily be a natural fire. Everything is so dry here.

Yeah, all right, I'll give it a go.

If it was arson, it'd be concentrated to a specific area unless it was meant for the whole building. Does anyone have a catalog of the things it held before?

It might've been started in one area and spread...by the time I got here, it was in more than one place.

I'm not sure. But, I've been inside before. I'll see if I notice anything missing, when I go in there.

That smoke from earlier came from the museum? ... Was it an accident, or..?

... I'm not sure yet. I hope that's all it was.

Someone setting buildings on fire wouldn't be something we could use in this place.

Yes. I agree, but not everyone thinks that way.
