So we started out with a warm-up of 8 laps around the second floor. I started as soon as i got there, and i was the first there, so i was done when the other people had another lap to go. woot.
Then body circuit. nuttin special there... it's just rather difficult for me to do Supermans (yes i know it sounds grammatically incorrect) due to circumstances a bit out of my control and involving teh bust size >< BLEAAAAAARGH
and then a 5k erg thingy. My last 5k was 2:33.7, so i made my goal 2:35. Weatherby was like 'you can do better than that' so i made it 2:30. she said 2:29 would be better, if only because then it'd be in the 2:20's. She said that the team goal would be to have at least 6 people under 2:20 for their average split, or 2:20 exactly would work too. So then we did it, and for the first like 3k or sommat i kept my split at around a 2:22, or somewhere between 2:18 and 2:24 for the most part, and i was listening to One More Time in my head because yes, i actually do rock like that. XD To make a long story short, i got through it, although i did have a hard time when there were about 7 hundred meters left, and yes i did do the screaming schtick >< i should probably stop doing that, although it does help a LOT where stress is concerned. It's not even that it hurts enough for me TO scream, it's just that i feel better and in a way stronger when i do. 'Tis odd, i must admit.
I've finally figured out what really works well for me, especially when it comes to the end. Some people sprint it, but i've found that taking a "power 20" (20 really really really fucking strong strokes) at the end is better for me. with sprinting i tend to just do that "flying and dying" whatsit, soooo yeah. Anyway, i finished before quite a few people, but i didn't actually see my average split cuz i was on one of the old ergs and i didn't want to mess anything up so all i saw was my time - bout 22 minutes, i believe. then we had the little talk thingy when everyone had done, and weatherby asked the coxswains how many people had gotten under 2:20, and there were only 5, then i pulled the screen back down and i was like 'ooh!' and weatherby was like 'what did you get?' and i said "2:20 exactly" and she was like 'that counts!' and i felt all warm and fuzzy inside
of course, her having complimented me every time she passed because i WAS doing a pretty damn good job today, i must say - helped a bunch with the warm and fuzzy.
AND THE MASSES CHEER! albeit in my head, they still cheer.
Then in the locker room i was like completely insane, it was so much fun @_@ ohhh endorphins how i love thee. Who needs drugs when you can get just as happy from fulfilling and surpassing your goals?
.....or something. the yu yu yaoi buttsecks makes me QUITE happy as well >;9 myahaha.
mrr. :3
don't mind me, i'm just kinda completely insane at the moment @_@
