KoiGiG Flying March
Today, I went to the KoiGiG live event in Uguisudani with
xaevyn.
We went to the afternoon show. It was so much fun!
And as always, I was blown away by Ono Daisuke and Hatano Wataru's live performance.
Both were so cute today. But esp. Hatano was hot! :p
Today's event was split into two halfs. The first being the talk show portion and the second being the live portion.
For the talk show portion there was a corner where the seiyuu had to pick out a paper from a box and on the paper it had the name of a person, their job, their age and a description/question. It was a sort of improv corner.
The seiyuu had to become these people/characters and give advice/answer the question. Needless to say there was quite a bit of shimoneta in this segment, especially from Tochika who was playing a housewife complete with rollers. Hatano was a gynecologist complete with white lab coat and glasses. The peculiar thing about his chara was that he was supposed to be 50 years old but Hatano used a very high voice to play him. The funny thing was that using a high voice was so tiring for Hatano that he'd ended up breaking out of it and revert back to his low voice a couple of times.;p
Ono D played an American guy called Dylan ala 90210. This was so hard for Ono D to do. But I thought it was funny how he was good at miming as if he was getting off a motorbike...but actually he said he was getting of his segway (sp? you know those things that you ride on standing up). He was supposed to be a student but I think Ono forgot that when he started saying he was 29 and everyone in the audience was like eehhhh?? but you're supposed to be a gakusei. And so Ono's reply was like...well, what? can't there be 29 year old students?:p Anyways he had a hard time thinking of what to say and later the cast told the audience that he was all depressed about his performance.:< But don't worry, he more than made up for it during the live portion with his singing performance and cheered up!
But the best performance in the improv section was definitely Suganuma Hisayoshi who was supposed to be a pirate. He dressed up as Jack Sparrow and he was supposed to explain what he was searching for afloat at sea. So Suganuma goes into this story about when he was three years old. He was at JUSCO (a famous dept. store in Japan), tho he also mentioned he also likes SATY, with his mom when all of a sudden a pirate pushed his mom and snatched him and ran out of the store and then....and well, that's where he left off before running off the stage and informing everyone to check the web for details of what happened next. It was hilarious and left us wanting for more of the story....very well done.
The second part of the talk show was a segment where they picked two words out of a box and had to explain a definition for them. For example, Hatano got fossil and alien and had to explain what a fossil alien was.
After that was the live portion and everyone did an amazing job. Ono D rocked the house! Hatano sang his slow ballad while sitting down and well I wouldn't be surprised if there were girls crying. He was so cool.^O^ The guys tried to bully Hatano a lot today but handled them really well.:p So much so that Ono D commented that he has become stronger.^^
During one of the segways between songs, Suganuma asked if there were any people from far away. And it appears there were Chinese and Korean fans there.
Lastly, the guys intro'ed the band...TEN x MA.
There was one guy in the band who looked like Terashima Takuma because of how his hair was dyed. And since Hatano was standing next to him....and if you've seen either seiyuu's blog you know how they're inseparable....so it was pretty funny. Of course, the band member had no idea who Terashima was.:p
The guys also compared the keyboardist to a seiyuu saying he looked like Hirakawa Daisuke. I could totally see it. But he had no idea who Hirakawa was.:p
Well after the end of the show there was an encore and they sang Battle Love. Before leaving a snapped a pic of the poster outside the venue. I so want it! As we left the venue, two Japanese fans started talking to us. They were amazed that koigig was known by foreigners. They were really nice.^^
