What is a laundry bar and a clip rack? Also, out of curiosity, when I think of washing machine and couch. I think in US proportions? What do they actually look like in Japan?
Washing machines are a little smaller in Japan, and almost all top loading, and only use cold water, but otherwise are the same. I'm getting a couch that looks pretty western. They make floor couches, but I don't like sitting on them as much. Laundry bars are what they sound like. Instead of clothes lines, they have hooks out every window and balcony to hang a metal bar. You drape laundry on this to dry it. Nobody uses electric dryers. A clip rack is a bunch of suspended clothes pins that can be hung from the laundry bar.
I hope to pick this stuff up soon. It can be such a pain without.
43cm x 63cm is what the tag here says. `17x25? Does that exist? Maybe it's too small. That's ok. I can buy one at Muji in a few weeks when I go back to Costco.
AAAAARGH, this is what I get for not paying attention to LJ for a couple of weeks. *HEADDESK*
I'm catching up with posts, I swear!
I just read through the last couple of weeks. I'm glad you've finally got a comfy bed all worked out... that makes a difference. I'm just sad that you're so alone out there. We miss you, bb! I worry about you, too. I know your reasons to move were logical and all, but I hate hearing you sound so isolated. Makes me want to fly to Japan with money I don't have and fix everything.
Oh, and if Omar continues to be a douche about things like going to the gym and what you eat and so on, I'll kick his ass all the way from here. I have mad ass-kicking skillz.
Also, I want to know if you're safe from the typhoon. It's making the news over here, so I wanted to make sure you're safe. *hugs*
Yeah, I stopped reading for like 6 months. Can't fault you there. I'm trying to get back into a routine because I really do like feeling connected by reading LJ just... It can be hard to build back up the habit

Gaaaah, I am so easily distracted. I opened this in a tab, and... forgot. My brain is complete mush this week. I'm trying, really! And yes, LJ is a hard routine to build back up. Especially when there isn't infinite time to keep updating f-lists and such

Hah! Somehow it slipped my mind how much con world takes over vacation time and money. You rest easy. I can always show you around Tokyo in 20 years. But... =DDDD Road Trips!
The thing is, despite all his flaws and bad habits and occasional hurtful words, he does mean well. And he NEVER fails to address my concerns and make sure everything is righted. I don't know how I fell into a relationship like this, but I did.
Ah, fall. The typhoon season is only just starting here so it still feels like an endless summer. Two more days until I start work back up again. I miss things like bonfires and real fall.
