Yesterday evening, I watched
Hachiko: A Dog's Story along with my lil bro and lil sis.
It's the Hollywood version of the
real Japanese Hachiko story.
The storyline is quite similar with the real story.
The movie starred Richard Gere as the professor who owned Hachiko.
It was a nice movie, and I couldn't help myself to not crying
when Proff. Parker die from a heart attack, while the earlier time
at the morning, Hachiko which never play catch suddenly did his best
not keep the professor home, including play the catch for the real time.
That day, Hachiko still wait at the station, in front of the gate,
waiting his master to come home, while the man he waited won't
ever come home anymore.
The professor's wife sold the house and move away,
and Hachiko stays at their daughter's home.
But Hachiko keeps running away to wait for his master at the station.
"Hachikō was given away after his master's death, but he routinely escaped, showing up again and again at his old home.
Eventually, Hachikō apparently realized that Professor Ueno no longer lived at the house. So he went to look for his master
at the train station where he had accompanied him so many times before. Each day, Hachikō waited for Professor Ueno to return.
And each day he did not see his friend among the commuters at the station." --wikipedia.
After ten years of waiting, one day Hachiko woke up from his sleep,
came to the station, sat at his usual spot, and waited for the last time.
From his sephia POV, the professor came and picked him home.
Then, he died.
The wiki said that he died at the same spot where his owner found him.
Seriously, I cried a river.
I used a lot of tissue to wipe my tears and my runny nose,
endlessly during the movie. My sister cried hard too, and
even my always-try-to-be-cool brother cried as much as
me and my sister did. Amazing, huh?
Then, when I saw my reflection, I was really shock.
My eyes are red, really red and puffy. And it's not just in literature meaning.
I really do look like someone who cried a river XDXD
Since last night I forgot to put ice on my eyes,
today I wake up with swollen eyes. XDXD
Then, today I re-watched it with my mom.
She proudly stated that she won't cry unlike the rest of us.
The result? Me and my lil sis cried just like yesterday,
and my mom busy wiping her tears LOLZ
Watch it. It's a great movie.
just don't forget to prepare a lot of tissue =p
