So, when Sean's dad left town, he put his house on the market. The woman he hired to sell it was... well, needed her head removed from where not head should get stuck, and she never even managed to follow through on the one offer he did get. So, the house is off the market

Actually, an air source heat pump doesn't look like it would be more economical to operate than gas, and a ground source heat pump is expensive to install, particularly for an existing house with established landscaping, so we'll probably just end up with a more efficient gas furnace.

That's good to know. While I was out running around, I thought of something else for the list (other than fencing for whenever we get a dog), and I can't remember what it was. Oh, well, it'll all be done in its time, right?
