Years ago, I think I might have still been working at Winchester, I bought a pair of shoes that I really, really liked. They were perfect. Comfortable. Good fit. Durable. Leather. Black. Perfect. I agree, there's nothing like a good pair of shoes, especially the perfect shoes. I have a pair right now that are about done, and for the life of me, I wish I could find them again. Alas, even E-Bay has yielded no results. So now I have to brace myself for the task of finding another pair of perfect shoes...

You know, just after I posted that comment, a little voice in my head said, "Silly girl, next time, buy TWO or THREE pairs of those perfect shoes..." but sadly, this most recent pair of perfect shoes I got at Goodwill. And I was lucky to find them. And finding another pair exactly like them would have been impossible. So I'm letting myself off the hook. But if I ever find a perfect pair at an actual retail store, I'm buying two or three the next time I find them.

She is a genius! I must remember this. My dad used to do that with boots and stuff. Always had an extra pair at the top of his closet for when the ones he had wore out.
