Had a fantastic weekend. It was Ross and Hannah's wedding on Saturday, so Adrian and I went up to Essex on Friday after work spent the night at his parents and then went to the church service which was round the corner from his parents' place. Sheesh it's been a while since an update as always but i've never been good at regularly keeping a journal or diary. That said, this LJ is probably the longest one i've actually kept up to date, even if it is of sorts!

Lately, my life has consisted off basically writing my 10,000 word dissertation - so have been a very busy bee! It's due next Thursday and I still have 4,000 words to write roughly and a re-edit as well as going over the stupid footnote system birkbeck have in place. Saw Pure Reason Revolution at Dingwalls in Camden. They get better every single time I see them (this was the 4th). Perhaps it was standing further away from the stage which made the sound better. I usually like being right at the front, but frankly, the sound does sometimes sound a bit shaky. Still had a good view though. The set rocked, they're ( Read more... ) -

Pure Reason Revolution are playing there and even though I'm seeing them next Tuesday in London, am ever so slightly tempted to jump on a plane and see them. Tempted to skip tonights 3 hour lecture (6-9pm) and go straight home from work. Tonight's class is longer than usual and I know there's the strong possibility I may fall asleep when Marybeth shows us a short film. Have spent the last three hours attempting to find out what's causing a massive patch of dampness and mould on the living room wall. Companies that deal with damp weren't able to help and recommended roofing contractors. It was finding these companies and calling them up that took ages, but finally found a company that deal with what we're looking ( Read more... ) -
