its like a ransom note minus the monetary demands. do i get to see all my pictures again? and why didn't they wipe the hard drive?

Dude, that's some good luck. If the guy is honest enough to try and send you your pictures, at least the end owner will not be snooping for other types of information (ss number, dl number, whatever). AND, you get your pictures back. That's something to celebrate. I once lost a sketchpad in high school and like two years later I found out that I had left it in class, this Chinese kid picked it up and kept it because he liked the pictures. MY NAME WAS IN THE DAMN THING. He told me about it those two years later, but he couldn't find the pad. Grrr.

In the US it's illegal to receive/buy stolen property. Wonder if its the same in Ireland? I mean, where the heck could this guy have bought the computer from?
