Instead of treating you all to my usual banal listing of my dull, dull life, I'd thought I'd give the world an early Christmas present and just do a couple of memes and post some clips that I enjoy.

I like how Ebert was right with both his predictions on how the movie would do. It was a flop on it's initial release, but of course has now become one of the most beloved Christmas movies ever made.

I remember seeing commercials for that Obama plate shortly after the election, and I threw up in my mouth a little bit. I mean, I know they do stuff for president-elects, so I don't have an issue with that. Or even them trying to make a buck with it. But the commercial is so phony and so over the top.

Hey, I'm a devout non-smoker, and even I would have to go with "no comment" on the wacky-tabacky. (A friend of mind used to say that "you should try everything in life once except for incest and folk-dancing." I'm sure that there are other things one could add to the "except" list, but I wouldn't say that pot is one of them. My assessment: it's over-rated and a lot of coughing for very little buzz.)
