They're trying to show how multicultural they are by bumping Springsteen for the Bollywood songs.

I didn't think Slumdog was that great of a movie. And The Reader was good, but not nearly as good as Revolutionary Road, IMO.

I'm finding, to my surprise, that many of my friends were as underwhelmed by Slumdog as I was. I thought it was good, but not great. I really have no desire to see it again, except maybe for the dance number at the end. And that's on YouTube.

I sort of felt the same about The Reader. Good, not great, except of course for when David Kross had his clothes off. Then the movie was fantastic! I have yet to see Revolutionary Road, but I'm going to try to get to it before Oscar night. Everyone I know who's seen it thought it was great, so I'm looking forward to it.

Yea, The Reader was alright but it didn't live up to the hype. As usual, the book was much better.David Kross has to be one of the most beautiful men on the face of the planet.

Yes. Yes he is.

One interesting thing about the film is that they had to wait until Kross turned 18 to shoot his nude scenes. Since that didn't happen until the final month of production, that probably means that they probably shot the scenes where he was the law student first. I find it interesting that he more or less went in reverse order, starting out as the conflicted, guilty young man and going back to playing the naive, innocent boy.
