Health Care: A Compromise

Over the last few weeks, I've seen my friends and acquaintances express a wide range of opinion on how to reform health care in this country, from completely leaving the current system alone, to scraping everything and handing it carte blanch to the federal government. I don't know if I agree that the current system is already broken. There are serious problems, and we're certainly on a path toward unsustainable costs, but the fact remains that most people receive quality health care, most of the time ( ... )

Sadly, there is no perfect solution. No matter what we come up with, someone will be left out and/or burdened by high costs.

The whole problem is that we as a society want two things that may be mutually exclusive--for everyone to have adequate health care and for costs to not be overwhelming. And no matter what solutions people propose, there will be flaws.

I'll do a point-by-point response to you later on, when I have enough time to properly respond.
