Whose brilliant idea was it to let it get down to 20 degrees F last night? huh?!  whose?! especially without snow. It's not even a pretty 20 degrees.

I had a dream last night that I was was wandering around the islands of Bali and Java, and there were no 20 degree mornings. It was very pleasant.

When I was a child, we'd go on vacation every year to Salem, OR, and we'd always spend a weekend in a place called Lincoln, OR. The water there is really cold all year, and me and my brother would only stay in the water to see who would cave in first and run for a dry towel. We would, however, make sand castles, though we never made them look any good. Every year we would come up with new designs and defenses to defeat the tide from destroying the castle. Our goal was for the castle to still be standing the next morning after the tide had come and gone ( ... )

Tsunamis scare the bejeesus out of me. Water in general terrifies me, and features in a lot of my nightmares. (Yeah, I know, I grew up on practically an island, how the hell can I be scared of water?). I'm glad your tsunami dreams are happy ones, though. Maybe it's a metaphor for being overwhelmed with awe or swept off your feet or something?

Eh, I grew up in Tornado Valley, and Tornados still kind of freak me out. I think they're kind of cool to watch, but it's still pretty scarey.
