Crunch Time!

I'm going to a workshop in Madison on Friday. A novel revision workshop. So I'm revising and revising. I took 7,000 words out of a 36,000 word manuscript over two days in an attempt to restructure. Yesterday I wrote a new 1,200 word scene that doesn't totally suck. Last night I tried to do a timeline with the Hero's Journey structure as a guideline ( Read more... )

Wow, awesome progress--and here I was just wondering about chapter 2!

It sounds like a really neat run-in at the bookstore (and I have a fleeting idea who the dim undead wannabee might be, and now I want to snark with you about it...).

My dad just made me a bracelet with alphabet beads: BIC HOK. I'm trying to live by it today, hoping I can at least kill chapter 12. Would love details about the revision retreat when you come back!

LOL! It took me a while to figure out the HOK of BIC HOK, but I got there eventually....

Workshop was great, lots to do and fix and yes, kill. Hope your chapter 12 had a happy death.
