STRADIVARIUS!!!!
Well my birthday is on Sunday, and for my "big" gift i asked my parents to get me a Bach Stradivarius and today we went to pick it up from Mike Carey's and there is a long story involved in which my mother ALMOST bought me an F.E. olds...lol so here it is...
Ok, well for my Birthday i said that i wanted a Bach Stradivarius trumpet and so my mother secretly went and got information on them at Mike Carey's...well when my mom went in to ask to buy one the man behind the counter said..."We don't sell those trumpets here...but we do sell F.E. Old trumpets which are as good if not better then the Stradivarius and our F.E. Olds are WAY cheaper." so my mom believed this guy and ordered a professional F.E. Olds trumpet that costed $800. Then my mother called Mr. D over Easter break and told him that she got the F.E. Olds instead because of what the guy told her and Mr. D said...."What?!?!?!...F.E. Olds trumpets can NOT compare at all to the stradivarius and go get your money back and order the stradivarius now!!!!!" something along those lines...lol...so my mother started to freak out and she went and called Mike Carey's.
So then my mom told Mike Carey that she had ordered this F.E. Old trumpet from a guy named Clint and that he said it was just as good as the Stradivarius...And Mike Carey was like...wow...NO trumpet can even compare to the Stradivarius and F.E. Olds are so bad that I do not even sell them in my store...so once again my mom started to freak out because she just spent $800 on a trumpet that isn't even as good as the King that I have now. And then Mike Carey said that the man that my mom ordered the F.E. Old from, Clint, was a representative from F.E. Olds and he was there just checking out the store...but he was behind the counter and he sold my mom this trumpet when he didn't even work there!!!!!!!...so then my mom cancelled that order and Mike Carey ordered the Stradivarius and this one costed $1600....and Mike had it rushed in because my mom just ordered it 2 days ago and Mike even had it personally inspected by one of his good friends who is a professional trumpet player.
So now i have the Stradivarius and at Mike Carey's they call my mom "the crazy trumpet lady"...lol...when we walked in there to get it all you could hear is..."oh no it's the crazy trumpet lady"...lol...but i'm really happy...:-)
