Here is what I did today:

- I went to pick up my new passport because, as some of you know, I sent my application to some Universities in Europe that have a deal with my University here so that I can study abroad for one or two semesters.  That means, I'm getting ready to leave in January.

- I received a phone call from a big company where I had ( Read more... )

Go to work and see for yourself if you like it or not, if you like the people in it or not...by december you will have an idea if you want to stay in it or not and travel. :)

That's what I'm going to do. I doubt very much that the job isn't a good one. It's a great opportunity. But it might still be better to travel. It's hard but I don't have to make a decision now, yeah? :)

Don't feel like you need to make the decision now. Go and see what the job is like, if you enjoy it, if it's what you thought it would be. Then after some time in you job you can weight in better both choices.

Studyind abroad is a great opportunity, living in a different country is such a great learning experience, but if this is your dream job traveling can wait.

You are right, Pilar. I should see what the job is like first, but the thing is, even if it's the perfect job, I might lose the perfect time to travel. I'm young, still in college, I don't have to worry about leaving a boyfriend here or anything like that. In the future, I'll have other opportunities but I might have to consider other things that would be reasons to keep me here, like a really great job (after graduation, not just internship), family etc. That's why it's such a difficult decision to make. But maybe, once I start working I'll be more confident about which way to follow, so I don't want to worry so much now anymore.

Ok, I´m a really suspected person to give any advice on this matter, since I´m doing anything possible (and impossible) to go to London, but I think that´s an once in a lifetime opportunity. Europe, I mean.

But that´s just me... :)

I've heard about you wanting to go to London. I love it there... what do you plan on doing there? Study? Work? I hope everything works out fine for you.

As for me, I'll take some more time before I decide. I want to see what it will be like working at my new job.

Thanks for replying, Jess.

I want to study, do my Cambridge and IELTS tests and work. I want to do this since I can´t remember but I don´t have enough money. Yet.

Hope everything ends up fine with your decision. :)

Yeah, take the job and see if you like. Then you can make a more informed decission about staying with the job or go abroad to study.
Good luck :)

You were in the middle of a similar dilemma not so long ago, weren't you? I thought about it when I saw myself in this situation. :)

Thanks for the support and the good luck wish.

Yes I was :)
To help me make my decision I talked to a lot of people and asked their opinion but I realized that I didn't matter what they thought, whatever decision I made was going to be the correct one because it was the one that I felt the most comfortable with. So listen to your gut feeling and go with whatever feels right for you.

I say go to work and take one step at a time. Maybe they'll let you go abroad and come back later. You'll never know if you don't try it :)

Yeah, I'll try. It would be wonderful if they allowed me to come back after my time abroad.
