Trick or Treat Letter 2018
Dear author,
First of all, thank you so much for offering to write one of these amazing fandoms! I love each and every one of them, so whichever you end up writing, I absolutely can't wait to read your story.
I'm not the most active person in any fandom, so I've put together a few notes in general and on each fandom to help you get some ideas, which I hope is useful to you :D
All the specific prompts I've given for each fandom are just ideas - if you're inspired to write something else, go for it! Also, I know my likes tend towards the plot-heavy, which is hard to do in a smaller word-count - feel free to write moments or snippets that imply a larger plot, or missing scenes from/post-canon :)
Things I would always love to see in any fic:
- casefic
- plot-focused stories
- before/after the canon stories
- alternative endings/au diversions
- time travel/time loops
- fix it fic
- UST
- realisations of desire or romantic explorations, explorations of characters realising they're 'more than friends'
- hurt/comfort (overcoming ailments to come out on top, painful confessions, stronger/leader character needing to be helped)
- everyone thinks a friend is dead but then they're not
- crossovers between my requested fandoms
- dark!fic (permanent injuries mentally/physically, torture, Stockholm syndrome, dystopias, violence... ideally paired with hurt/comfort or with a not-completely-sad ending (ie bittersweet or happy ending rather than 'everything's still terrible'!). Feel free to go as dark as you want!
DNWs:
- surprise!ships (i.e. non-canon ships/friendships/enemies in a story with no justification, explanation or background - non-canon ships are generally fine if they have some exposition or explanation though!)
- fluff!fic (ie, a little fluff is fine, especially in a happy ending, but if the fic is fluff throughout with no darker elements I would be a little disappointed!)
- sex scenes/porn as a major focus in the story (long sex scenes are just not my cup of tea)
- crossovers with canons I haven’t requested
- PWPs
- gender-bending (except when it's canon)
- total AUs (eg hipster AU, high school AU, coffee shop AU...)
- any character bashing
- regional accents written out phonetically
- miscommunications leading to awkwardness (I get major embarrassment squick from this, it’s just not a trope I enjoy!)
- character bashing of any of the characters
- jealousy as a major component of the story
- curtain!fic
- self-harm
- child abuse

A quick note before I get to the prompts - since I’ve requested all Persona, feel free to write a crossover if you’d like! I love all the games equally, and would be happy to read a story for any of them individually or in combination - it’s always fun when characters from the other games show up, whether in a cameo or in a main role. I especially enjoy seeing how characters from one game react to the events of one of the other games, whether or not they end up interacting with the characters.

Persona 3
I played P3P and was so, so happy that I could play as the female protagonist. I’d prefer it if you used Minako as her name, or avoided naming her otherwise.
Requested characters: Female Persona 3 Protagonist, Sanada Akihiko, Kirijo Mitsuru, Aragaki Shinjiro, Takeba Yukari
Relationship/Medium: Trick, Fanfiction
Some prompts:
- I would love some fairly dark h/c about any of these characters, preferably involving them being helped by other members of the team. Anything where someone who’s usually strong has to rely on others temporarily would be amazing.
- I’d love to see moments inside Tartarus where things take a dark twist. Maybe the Reaper shows up inescapably? They get stuck in a time loop in there?
- time travel in general is awesome. What if one of them appeared from a dark future to change the past?
- ship-wise, I ship the following:

To sum up - I selected Trick because I’d like a story with darker elements, and I don’t mind how dark you want to go. Happy or hopeful endings are good but not strictly necessary if you don’t want to go in that direction!

Persona 4
I've played P4G but not the Arena games or Dancing All Night! I don't mind cameo appearances from other characters alongside those requested here :) Also, I don't mind if you call the protagonist Yu or Souji.
Requested characters: Persona 4 Protagonist, Kujikawa Rise, Amagi Yukiko, Satonaka Chie, Shirogane Naoto, Tatsumi Kanji, Hanamura Yosuke
Relationship/Medium: Trick, Fanfiction
Some prompts:
- I really love the moments in P4 when the team are trying to solve the murders and are working together to investigate, so anything where any combination of them have to work together to solve a crime/problem would be fantastic. A bonus would be if they are under pressure because one of team is in danger!
- specifically for the Protagonist - I’m a sucker for fics that deal with his loneliness/hurt when he’s away from Inaba and having to deal with his parents. Any kind of emotional h/c that deals with this would be wonderful. Please no self-harm or child abuse, though - I see his parents as neglectful but not abusive, and him as more terrible at opening up/good at deflecting.
- as with P3, both h/c in general and/or time travel or time loops are things I always enjoy - anything along these lines would be awesome

Persona 5
I love Persona 5, and am looking forward to starting a replay later this autumn. One specific thing I enjoyed was how closely they matched the places in the game to real places in Tokyo - it was such a neat thing to realise I recognised places! As a note - I’d prefer the Protagonist to be called Akira, or not be named otherwise.
Requested characters: Morgana, Persona 5 Protagonist
Relationship/Medium: Trick or Treat, Fanfiction
Some prompts:
I’ve only requested Morgana and/or the Protagonist because although I loved all the characters in P5, I found them the most interesting, and also fell in love with their relationship, particularly after Morgana’s disappearance. I love the way they end up looking out for each other and caring about each other.
- I’d therefore love to see any extension of this - either as h/c (maybe after the Protagonist gets out of jail or after he’s captured) or after Morgana has returned with Haru.
- for Morgana on his own, anything that deals with how he experiences the world as he searches for his identity would be great. Does he sneak into places around the city? Does he ever go into the Metaverse or the Velvet Room on his own? Does he build a relationship with Lavenza and Igor after the end of the game?
- for the Protagonist, like with P4, I’d love to see anything dealing with his relationship to his parents and/or Sojiro, especially emotional h/c where Sojiro or Morgana help him learn that someone does care for him (in their own way, obviously!)
- I don’t have any strong P5 ships, but I don’t mind you including:
- Protagonist/Makoto
- Makoto/Haru
- Ryuji/Ann
- Protagonist/Ann
