today we are going from
This:
to this:

Program: PSCS2
Transferable: No
uses selective colouring and curves

First we start with out base. I used this cap.

Copy your base and set it to screen 50%

Now here comes the curves (Layers>New Adjustment Layer>Curves)
GREEN
RED
BLUE
(click on the links above to see what the curves should look like)

Once you're done, duplicate the curves layer once.

Your icon should now look like so...

I know, green. So now we are going to get rid of all the yucky green-ness.

Now we are going to use selective colouring (Layers>New Adjustment Layer>Selective Colour)

RED
Cyan: -40
Magenta: 0
Yellow: 0
Black: 0

YELLOW
Cyan: -24
Magenta: +80
Yellow: +33
Black: +8

Neutrals
Cyan: -55
Magenta: +13
Yellow: -12
Black: 0

Your icon should now look like so.

Now we only have ONE more step.

Go to Layers>New Adjustment Layer>Hue/Saturation.

Saturation: 5
Lightness: -5

And you're done :D
