today we are going from
this:
to this:

Photoshop CS2
selective colouring and curves
not transferable



SO start off with your base and make a new layer and fill it with f2e4d0 and set it to Soft Light 10%


Now go to Layers>New Adjustment Layer>Selective Colour.

Red
Cyan: -20
Magenta: +11
Yellow: +30
Black: +20

Yellows
Cyan: -75
Yellow: +8

Neutrals
Cyan: +22
Yellow: +3
Black: -10

Your icon should look like this now


Now add another Selective Colouring Layer (Layers>New Adjustment Layer>Selective Colour.)

Reds
Cyan: -53
Yellow: +30

Yellows
Cyan: -75
Yellow: +8

Neutrals
Cyan: +22
Black: -10

Your icon should look like this


Okay now curves. Layers>New Adjustment Layer>Curves.

[RGB]
[RED]
[GREEN]
[BLUE]

Now your icon should look like so!


Okay now we are going to add ANOTHER Curved layer. Layers>New Adjustment Layer>Curves.

[RGB]
[RED]
[GREEN]
[BLUE]

Your icon should look less blue now


Now we are going to add another Selevtive Colouring Layer (Layers>New Adjustment Layer>Selective Colour.)

Reds
Cyan: -88
Magenta: +12
Yellow: +20
Black: +15

Neutrals
Cyan: +10

AND YOU'RE DONE!


With this tutorial it's really best if you fool around with it. This tutorial was made for this picture and might look like CRAP on other pictures. Have fun with tweaking it:D
