"Hell of a book... It's about bunnies."

Has anyone read Watership Down?  I admit that I haven't, but it does look good.  And... I'm wondering what the correlation is between that book and JJ Abrams' Lost.  Judging from a cursory inspection of the book, I'm guessing the connection is a significant one.

Anyone feel up to a read-watch-analyse-along?

I'm off to get a copy for myself today. Would you like to pop in at dogeared_books? naewinter created a discussion community just for it and it might be good fun if there was someone there who's actually read the book *and* is watching the show. :)

I love, love, love, love, love and really love Watership Down. It's been a favorite for about the last 22 years. :D I think you'll like it too. Yeah, it's about bunnies, but the messages go much deeper than that.

"Hell of a book... It's about rabbits." Wasn't it "Bunnies."? *resists the woobie* *RESISTS*

I remember hiring that on video at about 4 years old, I absolutely loved it. But I haven't read it! I'd love a RWAA, I think I'll get my hands on a copy on Monday.

It's a great book - you'd like it.

Of course, in order to participate in the RWA I'd actually have to have done the W part *sigh*

BUT - a little bird tells me that episodes 1-7 are downloading as we speak! w00t!

!!! Excellent! Now, don't go watching them all at once, now. It'll spoil your appetite for the next episodes... NOT!

I've been thinking of finding a book community on lj for ages. I need to start reading more often, I'm not sure there is a group that will be doing this though. I might have to make one myself. You don't need codes anymore.
Would you be interested? Would anyone be interested?
I'll see if I can come up with a name and structure (shouldn't be too hard).
