I saw Rent in the theaters over break, it was fantastic, so be sure to see it!

Ooh, ooh, I saw it on Friday night with Sammy. I was very pleased. The only thing I didn't like were the scene transitions. Way too slow. Those fade to black things - were kind of bad. I like the straight cut to the next scene. But yeah, the movie was definitely amazing. I really enjoyed the scene with Angel's funeral. It was really really powerful for me. What are your thoughts, besides that it was fantastic...

i felt like the fades might be a throwback to the broadway production, scene changes and all... whether it worked in the movie or not, i'll have to watch it again to decide. didn't bother me on first viewing though. did you cry? i was teary eyed. so was fred, although he said he didn't sob like he did when he saw it on broadway. and now i have to see it on broadway myself because i really really really want to! lol. so fred and i might go see it sometime.
