if only I had a job, then I could feel okay looking at lovely homes that are beyong my budget. A full-time job for 10$/hr would leave me comfortable and this search would be easier...

What happened to people having priorities? Like, you know, friendships.

Lots of changes going on right now. Today is my last day of work here in the department of medicine because the funding for my position has run dry and they can no longer afford to keep me on staff. So, I know this is going to sound weird, but I keep having this feeling of breathing in gas. And when I say that, I don't mean that I might possibly be sitting in a room with a gas leak and am just smelling it, it feels like I have gas in my brain- I can smell it and taste it. Like I ate it for breakfast or something.

My dad just called me from work to wish me good luck tomorrow (which he never does) and left me a message. He told me he loved me. And then I almost started crying because I'm pretty sure it was the first time I've ever heard him say it out loud. Seriously. He's not a real open guy. Where did this semester go? I think it went just as quickly as last semester even though I wasn't in school. Crazy. I feel like a failure. Somehow I've been studying for the GRE over the course of the last 2 months and i'm no where near being prepared for my test in 3 weeks. I also haven't gotten a new job.
