Oh I should certainly hope it would be in the paper; if not, then they aren't doing their job. I think people have a right to know about this--it serves as a valuable lession; if you're a university official (an RA) you are s till held accountable for your actions.

Yeah. I'm pretty sure any illegal activity on campus ends up in the police blotter section of The Stoutonia. This shouldn't be any different.
