Just somewhere to park while I'm commenting on my friends' livejournal blogs. Why they chose to live on this godforsaken backwater planet, I'll never know.
Hey Emily. This is Melissa, Matthew's little sister (or Jeremy's friend from middle school, or your mom's former student.. but you probably know me best as "Matthew's little sister"-- or rather, "Matt's little sister" -- so we'll go with that).
ANYWAY. I noticed that you have a blog that isn't on LJ. I have fantastic news for you. You can have your friends read your updates ON livejournal, and each will have a link to that entry in your blog. That way, they won't have to go to your site to read them separately from their other friends' journals.
Umm... I actually wanted to see if it worked, so I already created the account for you. You can have your friends add emilygaskin and it should update directly on their friends page from your blog (although it takes a few minutes to sometimes an hour or so for it to go through). Pretty nifty, huh? Your choice whether you tell people about it, but I thought you'd like to know.
Seriously, though... Thanks for this. I had no idea LiveJournal could handle outside feeds. I'm not sure how many of the sad few who actually follow my blog do not already have their own RSS aggregator of choice (I'm guessing Matt, at least), but your nifty LJ syndication trick will certainly help them to indulge semi-regularly in my babble.
