Well, not to add salt to the wound...in this case, your burn, the carpet looks really nice. I am just trying to imagine how soft it actually is because from the first close up picture, the carpet looks really soft! I am sure Poki would love to pee on it too...you know, to give some fragrance to the flowers on the carpet, ha ha! All jokes aside, I am sure Ryan understands where you are coming from. If Bryan gives me something gold colored, I would throw a fit. I guess I am learning a lesson from you. Maybe Bryan may someday choose something that looks nice with the shiny gold color :)

Haha, she does look ready to add scent to the carpets, doesn't she? haha. Yeah, I've been surprised by how "on" he's been with his opinions. We went clothes shopping and he said, "eh" to a jacket I was hoping was awesome, but when I looked in the mirror I had to agree. He's getting good.

For Bryan, if he gives you something gold, does he see gold? haha. Maybe it's a pleasing color to his eyes.

Those are gorgeous carpets! Wow. Like you said - so thick and nice. I'm glad you finally got to see them. Hopefully Ryan has learned not to buy anything without consulting with you first. There are usually two lessons contained in a marriage story (one for each partner. :))

Good luck with the new job!

haha, that's true! Two lessons, I like that. I think he learned his lesson two years ago. ;)

Thanks, I'm looking forward to it!

Hi Emily! Glad to see you back. :) Y'know, considering the sort of stress that you were anticipating (before the move), the stress that you experienced (during the move) and now the post-stress of settling in and having to deal with getting a new job...I can see where you were coming from with the carpets and Ryan not letting you see them first. Eh, but guys will be guys so... ;-)

I'm glad you like them now (and also blueberry-loving Poki!)

Thanks Rowena! It does make sense with all those piles of stress everywhere, doesn't it? haha.

They are nice. Poki is loving blueberries! I'm hoping I can find someplace around here that lets you pick your own. That would be fun. Is there a blueberry festival in your area? I wouldn't be surprised, so many fantastic festivals!

Yes there is one...in September. But I think I'll already be back in the islands for a visit during that period. Gotta check to make sure. ~rowena~

It's hard not to pass judgment quickly on something you expect yourself not to like. But I'm glad the rug turned out to be favorable to you. And I hope you'll be able to have one shipped to you (as heavy and large as it'll be!).
