Hehe, tell-tale piles. Is that a Kogepan mousepad I spy? :)
I don't have a creative space. My creative space is basically anywhere I sit myself down to craft - so that could be my bed or the living room sofa...or sometimes my desk at work. =P
Wow! This is so exciting! Getting all your stuff (finally!) and organizing your space. Repainting, buying furniture, and IKEA SHOPPING! I am so jealous. I wish there is an IKEA here. Bryan and I went to open house on Sunday and saw this really beautiful home in our building for sale. Cost is too high and we don't think we can afford it. But we were very close to putting an offer. I ran everywhere to learn about mortgage stuff and being first time home buyers. Anyway, more to tell later. But this is a new beginning for you! Ooo, I love the mouse pad :D My space is my desk with the iMac and one shelf with all my drawings and comics. Kinda of sad yeah? But I looked at all the blogs you recommended and they all look great. So fun!
I really love IKEA! We just put together a chair and a huge bookshelf yesterday. It's really nice.
That's exciting that you're looking at open houses. There's a large learning curve since they have their own lingo for everything. I'm still not clear on all the mortgage terms. ;)
Your little space is not sad! I like it! And anyways, you're looking at bigger spaces to buy these days. You'll have to tell me all about it.
ah! i haven't kept up on blog reading. you moved! contratulations on the new space. just this year a room cleared out so mine is half storage (of clothes and toys in those big big tupperwares from target) and half of my sewing table with my sewing machine...and a shelf for all my yarns and fabrics and also the floor when things pile up. i don't think mine would be a good picture at the moment.
no worries, I've been out of the loop lately, too! Thanks for the congrats, it's been a big change!
Sounds like a good space, it often seems that the crafty room becomes the storage room and the catch-all for everything that has no other place. At least in my experience. ;)

I used to enjoy making creative space everywhere, but Ryan thought it was annoying since it meant piles of creative explosions all over the house. ;)
