I agree with your point - it is, in the immortal words of Marion Morrison, rigga-damn-diculous. Still, I won't be so judgemental as to say that all religious conservatives take this asinine view on birth control. That's like saying the entire left wing is sitting around with leaders of communist countries smoking weed and living in eco-friendly shacks when they're not cleaning oil from baby seals or protesting.
