hey, loffs right back atcha, weenie! and yeah, life's pretty alright, but the best bits are the books and the company, and you can get that in any country!
hey - shush you! you're not boring! even if i have been woefully absent from lj, i'm really glad to hear from you. how've things been, anyway? i'm so out of the loop!
Oh, things have been okay. I'm so sick of this blasted hot weather and not a drop of rain in sight.
Work's been interesting, to say the least--we've reorganized and some of my coworkers are coping with the changes less than well, so that's been a challenge. Being the designated office counselor has fallen to me.
Some friends of mine have been getting together on Saturday evenings for dinner and dish--just good fun. They're all coming over here Saturday week to play games.
Managed to get one good swim in, and have another outing this Saturday afternoon.
I'm very aware that this time next year I'll be getting ready to retire--it's a big life transition and I'm excited but also a little bit scared, if that makes sense.
I'm really glad you're having such a wonderful year--and I really mean that I want you to give Sam my love if/when you talk to her/see her again. I miss her and hope she and her family are all okay.
soooo beeYOOteeFUL!!! *sigh* I am thinking, a traveller's life is the way to go. everything is so amazing, yes, even the sheep! Although, the pictures of France made all woobly for a bit because it reminded me of the holiday we took there back in 1999.
also, how funny is the glendalough pic, hee. my thoughts exactly ;) The next stop is Glendalough...
