HGTV Design Star
I must have been very tired. I fell asleep in the middle of this. I don't think I missed much.
So glad Trish is gone. She was an annoying bitch with ratty fake hair and boring “designs.”
I would watch a Jenn show maybe twice. I love her painting on the walls, but she ruins furniture. Matt, on the other hand, would probably do a show I’d watch fairly regularly. I generally like his unique ways of arranging things and his carpentry and I like his personality.

Ummmm. If I were a conspiracy theorist, I’d say they want Aaron so bad they did everything they could to ensure he’d be in the final, including just flat out refusing to eliminate him. He had the easiest promo by far, especially with Bobby Flay’s help. His buffet was ho-hum and his presentation was horrible.
I have liked Aaron throughout most of the competition, but he should have been eliminated.
The “twist” was not a surprise at all. The were projecting it from the beginning.
From Gs to Gents
I love this show! It is so much better than I expected. I could tell it was basically going to be Charm School for guys, and it is, but the guys for the most part seem a lot more sincere and the design and production elements are far superior. The host and butler are both great.
I have heard recently that the house VH1/MTV uses for these shows is very haunted. Has anyone else heard this? That could be such a cool little twist.
General musing slightly based on my discussion above - I wish someone would do a reality show in a haunted house. Not a fake scary show or a gross-out show like Fear Factor, but a spend the night in a truly haunted house show. I suspect the idea’s come up before but shot down because producers think it wouldn’t have enough drama to keep people watching.
