Is Ike on your news non-stop, being in Texas? It must seem so surreal. I'll stop complaining about blizzards. At least we never had to evacuate!

Yep, we definitely have non-stop coverage now. I am about 5 hours inland by car, though, so we are not in any real danger here. There may be some evacuees from the coast here, but I'm not sure. We are supposed to have 4 - 10 inches of rain, I think and a lot of wind plus a "cold" front that will give us a high of 79 on Monday.

I have never been in a blizzard. I can't imagine what it would be like to be outdoors in one! Are you stuck insid for days?

Well, some people don't come out for a while, but places here aren't fond of closing, so it has to be *really* bad for things to close and people to be off of work. We've had plenty of blizzards, but earlier this year was the first time City Hall (where I work) shut down in at least 20 years! And a couple of people still had to make it in so payroll could be processed! Craziness.

Snow would be okay if it would disappear, but it tends to stick around, which sucks. But 10 inches of rain would drive me crazy!
