Very Quick Update

I had another good week diet/exercise/weightloss-wise -- 2.2 more pounds gone.

It has also been a really busy week at work, and I have had laundry drama at home. Not serious laundry drama, but enough to throw my schedule off.

I will try to post about Project Runway and Top Design tomorrow evening.

I should probably be more concerned about WaMu folding and being bought by Chase, but my first though was: Yippee! Now the WaMu branch they are building 1 1/2 blocks from me will be a nice, convenient Chase branch! And then I felt bad for being selfish, I promise. And I'm sorry. And then after that I started being scared again.

This was almost my exact reaction, too. There's a WaMu closer to me than a Chase, and I was excited to have another branch at my disposal. How shallow am I?

Also, McCain's behavior is very upsetting. He used to be my favorite republican. What happened? I blame the GOP.

Sorry I'm so slow to reply!

At least we both felt bad about having that though. I think it's normal, though, to think how this would impact us personally and upon discovering a bright side to it, to be glad there's at least something good.

I think it's right to blame the GOP about McCain's turn to awfulness. Eight years ago, before he was smushed in the 2000 election, he was a good guy, but Rove steamrolled him and I think they've basically been holding him hostage ever since.

I stay away from debates (my blood pressure is more important to me than that), so I didn't watch.

Have you read this review of the debate?

Wow.

I really expected to feel guilty for turning my back on the only shot the Silent Generation will ever have for a President, but, um. Yeah.

I told my friend Virginia about your pet theory. I also told her that I wasn't entirely sure that you're joking. ;-)

Sorry I'm just now getting back to you!

I only watched parts. Most of the time McCain was speaking I went out and checked my laundry. I was worried I would destroy my TV by trying to reach through it!

I'm not entirely sure I'm joking about my pet theory anymore, either. Last week gave me so much more evidence!
