It was fun, but I am so relieved to have it done and not have to worry about something coming up that might make me miss out on voting. Y'all have no early voting at all? That is really too bad. It's so much harder on everyone to do it all in one day.
And I don't want to get too hopeful about Texas, but I went to a polling place in an extremely conservative Dallas suburb in very red Texas and the Repugs had no presence there at all. All of the greeters were Dems. And the few people I heard talking in line seemed to all be for Obama. The only bumper stickers I saw in the parking lot were Obama stickers. It was a very happy experience.
I love voting too, and get emotional about it. One of the reasons I did not vote early is because I love the experinence on election day. The flags outside the polling place, the poll workers, the other voters milling about.
Of course I may change my mind if the lines are super long this year.
I need one of those that says 'No I didn't, but I wish I did'. Mostly because I'm not registered to vote. *sobs* Too much going on and also always heard you could be selected for jury duty. So never did.
