Thanks for all your work on this, it was a blast, regardless of any naysayers!

Also, I keep hearing about this Boston Steampunk LARP and thinking, dammit, this is new york~! We ought to be able to do that here!

I am surprised there's isn't a NYC Steampunk LARP. Why not start one? I have to say that I am no good with stuff like that, just not much of an actress, I guess. But I'd be game for helping out with getting dressed, providing props, etc.

It really is - you should get involved with the steampunks in your area, if you aren't too busy! It is loads of fun.

a note, since I don't know everyone who was there, but there was a screw up with some of our credit cards, those who got re-rung got charged twice. I had to call them since this caused an overdraft for me. They are working with me and are apoligetic, so likely they will cover the whole mistake (one hopes this is up to the manager) and get my account back on track (now 40 dollars in the whole and there are bills to pay)

Thanks for the heads-up! You might want to post this on the main steamfashion thread if you haven't already. Not to many people read my little blog. I checked my card and was only charged once but I had a separate bill from the get-go and didn't need to be recalculated. Sorry about the inconvenience. That happened to me once and my bank (Chase) refunded the overdraft charge as it was the vendor's mistake.

My account is $1 overdrawn, LOL! Sadly I'll have to pay the $35 overdraft fee, stupid me, didn't check my balance before splurging at the thrift shop and payday's tomorrow, so the ol checking account is always bare this time of month.

Wish I could find a thrift! But yeah, I had a couple bucks, but the double charge took that AND put me in the hole, so hopefully it will all work out today. If anything I'll be calling my bank as well.

As a note, I tried to submit this to the fashion one, they rejected it. Said I should post it to the NYC local community, problem is I got the lillie's thing at the steamfashion and am not part of the local other than the facebook one..
If you could pass the message onto anyone you know who was there and they can pass it on? Just so everyone can check their accounts. Hate for there to be any surprises for them later that could be fixed now!
