Music Rut

I'm in a bit of a music rut. I need to get some fresh water into the ol' pond.

What would you suggest? What's the best album you've heard lately?
What would you recommend to a friend?

I recently found this band called Beirut. They have lots of horns and an accordion. Their most recent album is The Flying Club Cup. It's got some good stuff on it that you might like.

Though I will warn you that the singer is very difficult to understand.

also i guess if i had to recommend a band I will hesitantly recommend the Brand New, as I didn't like them at first and they grew on me.
