OH I'm totally hooked on Arrow and funny that, the exact reason you like it, I totally gushed about to the hubs - how clever it was weaving the islands stuff in with the new stuff - like word for word what you said (in my own words of course LOl)

I need to watch the first season of Longmire and then you know watch the new one LOL.

I agree with you on Monday Mornings - I hope it finds it's footing. And what is this new Jamie show you speak of, Smoke?

And I'm LOVING Doctor Who - Clara is very enjoyable - she reminds me a bit of River so it should be an interesting ride.

YAY!! Seriously, the show had me from the opening moments, but it's really kicked it up a notch lately. I seriously can't wait for Wednesday nights. :D

Longmire is an enjoyable watch, IMO. It's a slower pace, but I like the way the characters interact.

The Smoke is about fire fighters in the UK, how they put themselves on the line all the time, yet many have to take on additional jobs/work to make ends meet. From what I've read, it looks like the additional jobs/work will prove to be really interesting. :)

Yep. Clara is pretty awesome. Very different from Amy/Rory, which is good, IMO. I also like the mystery element of trying to figure out exactly what her story is. I have so many theories my brain hurts. LOL

I agree about Arrow, it's definitely gotten better. I adore Felicity - wish she would get more screen time.

I've seen a few epis of Longmire and enjoyed it, but it's hard to come by over here so I"m gonna have to track it down when we get back. Maybe Netflix.

Ahh okay. I thought Jamie was doing Monday Mornings on TNT - did that get canceled? Or is he doing both?

And YES Clara - I love the mystery surrounding her and can't wait for them to finally explain over the course of the season.

OMGS! Felicty rocks! I'm sort of crossing my fingers we will see more of her in the next season. :D

From what I've read, Jamie will do both series. If MM gets renewed, he should be finished up with The Smoke. :) More Jamie on my TV is deffo okay with me. :D

Isn't Defiance the best!!! I've only watched it three times, and I'm feeling really good about that now. :D I feel like I don't even have coherent words about Defiance. It's like real sci-fi. With aliens, moody bad-ass girl aliens and elements of steampunk and I'm so excited. *squeeeee ( ... )

YES!!! And I'm feeling really good about the potential after seeing the second episode. The character interactions are totally making the show for me. It's got quirky moments, creepy vibes, suspense, humor, just everything, IMO. :D

I am also loving Orphan Black. The cast is fabulous, but it's the fact that the show never quite goes where I think it's going to go that amazes me. Like someone sat down and intentionally twisted each potential trope, not a lot but enough.YES!! I'm even kind of excited to see where the boyfriend angle goes...after pretty much calling...well, I'll stop so I don't spoil anyone, but you know what I mean, right? Second ep, I had him pretty much pegged. But the coolest thing is not being able to anticipate what they'll do ( ... )

I am an episode behind on Orphan Black. I need to watch! The other thing I really like about Orphan Black is that it tells on story well. It's Sarah story and everyone else feeds that. I appreciate the focus.

I tend to agree about Sydney on MM. Although she was the only female character that seemed to have any personality at all. In fact the only characters I really felt had personality were Park and Buck. Ty was getting close, but Gato, Hooten and Sydney were all just bombasts. And seriously Tina should have died, that would have been interesting.

I actually may watch the W13 premier again. It was sooo good. :D

Ohh. I agree about Orphan Black and telling one story really well. With the clone angle it could easily get out of hand, but so far, they've done a wonderful job of peeling back layers on the others without detracting from the main focus. *nods* So well done.

I watched the Defiance pilot through a couple of days ago, and I'm going to keep watching - it feels like a show with a lot of potential, and the writers have acknowledged that they've taken a risk by not telling the viewer much about the background universe early on. I struggled a bit with the pilot, I think because it felt like they were rushing a little to introduce the characters in broad strokes, but I'm hoping that as the show keeps going we'll see more nuance brought in. It's always tricky to pull an ensemble show off, and I'm still at the point where I can't remember character's names :P I'm a sucker for a good post-apocalypse show, though. I think I'll have a better idea about some of the things in the show when they've shown a bit more - little things, like the way 41 people died in the battle, but the crowd at the Mayor's speech looked like sixty or eighty people, and I don't know if I'm meant to think that the battle inflicted devastating losses, or people aren't that interested in politics and the Mayor in Defiance ( ... )

Yes! Truly. I'm quite thrilled about the possibilities. :)

Oddly enough, I rather liked the broadstrokes introductions. It totally reminded me of Farscape's first episode, which did something similar when they plopped Crichton down in the middle of Moya and didn't explain much of anything. I don't know, it works for me. :)
