Friend A:  Oh, we’re not going up anymore for Thanksgiving.

Friend B:  But why?

Friend A:  Well, friend C and her husband are coming to town.

Friend B:  Friend A, friend D’s husband is on his death bed.

Friend A:  Hesitation.  Well, I don’t have friend D’s number.  And, I don’t even have the address to write to her.

People grow apart, thats just part of life...here's my view on childhood friendship, and yes i include teenage years as childhood friendship.

when you're young you don't really know what you want in life, your views and affinities were at best fleeting. And when you're a kid you bond and connect with people over these things. But when you reach a certain age, your views/beliefs/affinities change and harden. Thats why its harder to maintain relationships with people from your youth...you change, they change....
