Well hello again. I've finally finished my essay and can honestly say that it was a toughy. it's hard to be persuasive about a topic that you care alot about without coming across as a whiner! I've got a little editing to do myself before I send it on to my collaborators but it looks decent. So this has been a very unproductive yet, interesting

Anyways, good blog! I totally agree with you about women and the hijab. Its really not opression at all, and here we are in the west trying to take control and free women from this terrible act. We really can't understand until we read an article like that. Also, isn't summer the best time to catch up on reading? I definately write myself a list of all the books I want to get through, because once school comes around there is just no time!

I liked the point you made about reading "I find that when school starts I only have time to read my course texts and that's it. I don't really get to read anything for myself. When summer comes around, I grab my list of what I want to read and I curl up and start reading" I find much of the same thing happens to me. I read a novel a week during the summer, yet barely have any time to read myself. I also agree with what you said about food distribution "Hopefully, through my essay i'll be able to persuade someone that it's the distribution issue that leads to starvation and that we all need to speak out and do our part to fix it!" this is so true it's not even funny. You won't have to persuade me on this issue.
