I cannot take the humiliation of a stumbling trainwreck of a phone interview in Spanish, particularly while driving to Texas with everything I own. The job, while enticing, is simply not going to be right. Although, earning Swiss francs at a time when the dollar is flagging would be nice

Thanks. eh, the humiliation has not happened yet, but I'm thinking of writing them to tell them not to bother interviewing me. I don't think I'll fare well in the interview, and I am sure I don't want to live in Switzerland right now, either. I've been on the other side of the world for a lot of my life. I miss community.

Yeah, I know. It sucks, but not as much as having the house sit empty for months on end, especially the winter.

Winter is hard on these old houses.
