This is not happening.

Long story short: Dingo left alone in new house. Chip leaves window cracked. Huge windstorm sweeps into town.

Every surface is howling. My baby is gone. I can't stop crying. Fuck everything.

Yes, you are right! He seems happier to be home than I imagined he would be. But not nearly so happy as we are.

Thank you. My god, I thought I was going to go crazy. Absolutely awful scene, disappeared kitties.

I read this when you posted it and have come back half a million times, trying to figure out the perfect thing to say. I can't. I'm sad for you, and I'm worried for your precious Dingo ( ... )

I heart you, for making me smile even in the middle of my most despairing moment. That takes skillz. Thank you!

i read this in the los angeles time on christmas day. it's a really hopeful true story! "Lost: A Cat, Found: A Blessing." :: http://articles.latimes.com/2008/dec/25/nation/na-miracle-cat25

a friend of mine on LJ had a cat missing for quite a while. then one day, it came home. much later, just one day showed up on the doorstep. serendipitously, just on the eve of him moving away! kitties know their homes, there is no doubt. dingo will be back.

i dunno i just thought it was hopeful, to me at least, because my aunt has had her cat lost for nearly a year, and she is a wonderful cat owner, always leaving a little bed out for him in case he comes home. she even made the front page of the michigan newspaper with her searching efforts... and i guess this gave me hope that she would still find him, not even if it was this way.

i can see what you mean though, and it's not meant to offend you, of course. i guess i just see a lot of people that arent aware of their immediate surroundings and expect it.

I lost my dog for three gut wrenching, heartbreaking, horrible days (a new roommate opened the door and let her slip out). I did find her, and I hope you find your Dingo...

Thank you, thank you. It is a consolation to know that nobody thinks it's irrational to be devastated by a missing pet.
