so, I talked with my mom today. She's doing just fine. She went to see her surgeon for the 1 week check up and she got to see just how big this thing that was in her neck really was. Ok, I dont have much time, but I thought you would all like to know that my moms surgery went well, the tumor turned otu to be a rare, non-life threatening thing. She has very little voice right now, but is feeling just fine otherwise. No pain, no complications. She is taking a week up at the cabin to just rest and not deal with the phone or people ( Read more... )

Just an FYI to everyone. I wont be around this weekend. If you want to know why, just look at my latest entries. I will leave an update no here when I can, but dont expect anything until at least saturday and monday at the latest. Dont get into too much trouble!

So, the day after tomorrow is my mothers surgery. She went to the doctors today because she hasnt been feeling well. Its just allergies, so shes ok. but now the doctors and surgeons say that there is upwards of 10% of a chance it is cancerous. I just want to thank everyone for their support while I try and make sense of everythign going on with my mom. I really do appreicate it, even if I dont always say it. :)

you know, as the days get closer to my mom's biopsy, I see her telling herself that there is a 80-85% chance that its nothing. What she doesnt talk about, however, is the fact that there is still that other 15-20% chance that its not ok.
