japanese prank shows are creepy.

that country seems to have the point of view that any amount of mental anguish inflicted on an individual is justifiable if it results in societal benefit by providing amusement to the public. it is a positively medieval attitude, and it continually surprises me that a modern society can see things that way.

if it takes the entire, self-serving legal system in the U.S. with all its patent trolls, frivolous lawsuits and numerous other problems to keep that kind of show from every happening here, then i say it's worth it.

i'm not talking about mild pranks like opening a porta-potty into a meeting. i'm talking about the really weird stuff. you know what i mean.
