He was a cutie. You know...I've always wnodered in that half-assed knida way where that mark on his cheek came from. Hmmm. :-P

Indeed he was a cutie. XD

Actually I know how he got his scar. When he was six, he was riding a tricycle with no hands and fell on to an exposed piece of cast iron that caused his cheek to start gushing blood. He had to be stitched up by the family doctor at his neighbor's house. The movie studios tried to persuade him to cover his scar up with make up, but Gene adamantly refused.
