try some lighter fluid....i did picture framing for a long time and we'd have to deal with this crap all the time....thats should do it and it won't leave a permenant park...actually the really good stuff is called unseal and they should sell it at pearl or utrecht....give it a try!
i'll keep my eyes peeled for Unseal. i'm reluctant to use anything liquid because i'm afraid it would stain the cardboard. it's 40 years old so who knows what it can put up with... i guess i could always do the "test on an inconspicuous area" thing.
Rubber cement gets crayon off of books, not sure if that would work for this.
Also, I have had the last three days off of work and have been enjoying the thrift stores here. One day I would like to go on a thrift store "date" with you.
