hello lovely readers!  If you love angst,  future fics, and realistic story lines, read this!  But prepare yourself for a lot of cliffhangers, frustration, and bitterness.  We have to get through the tough parts to get our maybe happy/maybe not so happy (I haven't decided yet) ending!  I love reviews and I take suggestions!  It would feel great to know that somebody is reading what I write!

I'm just starting with the prologue, to give you a teaspoon of what is yet to come!  Keep an eye on the dates, because I will be fast forwarding, rewinding, and doing a whole bunch of cool stuff to make this story for your while.  So, without further ado, I present to you:

Prologue: Same Script,  Different Day

Something happened.  Something changed.  Maybe it was the New York air that polluted their relationship, maybe it was their busy schedules and lack of sleep.  Or maybe, just maybe, it was them.  Kurt and Blaine were two very different people with very different personalities and very different opinions.  What made their relationship work so magically, aside from their emotional connection, was their honesty and mutual trust in one another.  That was the glue that kept them together.  Love was something that they would always have for each other, whether together or apart, for the rest of their lives.  But the one thing that they cherished so deeply was their honesty to each other.  But somewhere between their morning coffee and occasional dinners, they told a lie.

When they were in high school, many people envied their relationship.  How can two teenagers have such a mature and solid romance? Kurt and Blaine knew they were different than the average couple in their age group, and took immense pride in that.  Sure, they disagreed, argued, and may have said things that they wished they could take back, but they communicated.  That's all it really took.  Before meeting Blaine, Kurt vowed not to treat his lover the way his show choir teammates treated theirs.  He learned a lot from them; the biggest lesson, he was incredibly relieved to be gay, because, even though he considered himself an honorary girl, they were so complicated and bipolar.  It was easy to be friends with a girl, but to date one?  Poor Finn.  However, despite the arguing, harsh words, and a few tears, Kurt and Blaine always managed to be okay.  They stayed together throughout senior year, and kept their promise to move to New York.  Much to Blaine's chagrin, Rachel Berry would come with them as well.

And then came the very stressful and intense day when they all received the letter to NYU.  The trio decided they should all open theirs at the same time.  They all got in.  They all went nuts. Rachel wanted so badly to throw a party with New Directions, but the boys politely talked her out of it. So when their adrenaline died down after they learned the good news, reality hit them, and they immediately started planning.

They found a very run down two bedroom apartment that, by no surprise, Kurt redecorated into an immaculate setting, inspired by the wonderful Marc Jacobs design.  He and Blaine shared the larger room with a beautiful view of brick walls of their neighboring apartment, while Rachel occupied the room on the opposite side of their new home.  She vowed that this will only be a very temporary space to live before her "indefinite success at Broadway in the very near future".  Blaine was very hopeful that she would be right.  He loved her, but he needed her out of his apartment if he wanted to live past thirty.  Unfortunately, he said his hopes up a little too high.

"This doesn't make sense!"  Rachel stomped around their small living room, too angry to cry, and too loud not to hear.

"Come on, Rachel.  This was your first audition, and we're still getting settled in. We've been here, what, two, almost three years?"  She continued pacing, and her anger was rising.  Blaine was legitimately scared, but continued his unconvincing speech, "We are barely twenty-one. You didn't possibly think that --" Great. Rachel was pissed.  Blaine knew that look that she gave. Why couldn't Kurt be here right now?  Blaine really hated dealing with her alone.

"Excuse me, Blaine Warbler, but you have some nerve to tell me that I'm not good enough for the iconic role of Maria over that far inferior girl, who clearly lacks my vocal talent and passion..." he completely zoned her out now.  What is wrong with her?  Really, he hasn't been a Warbler since junior year of high school, and only his boyfriend could call him that.  And what is going on with her face?  She looks like she was about to legitimately kill him.  He's too young to die.

"Rachel?"  He heard the voice of an angel coming to rescue him from this demon.  He could not love a person more than he loved Kurt at that very moment.

Kurt closed the door behind him with his right hip while balancing groceries on his other.  He received Rachel's message -- eighteen texts and eleven missed phone calls -- while in line at Whole Foods.  "Rachel, sweetie, I came as soon as I could!  I was at -- Oomph" Rachel attacked him in a tight hug, and
was she crying?

" Oh Kurt, it was awful!"  She continued rambling about how much better she was, how the judges hated her, what Barbara would say if she witnessed how judgmental the judges were, and so forth.  All Kurt did was whisper in agreement in her ear, while holding her tightly at the doorway.  Blaine loved those two; how they clicked, and how supportive they were of one another, whether they agreed with each other or not.  He wished he had understood Rachel the way Kurt did, but what was important is that he understood Kurt the way no one else would.

Blaine looked at the clock, and cursed at himself, grabbing the attention of both of them.  "I'm so sorry Penguin, but I can't stay for dinner tonight.  I promised my -- "

" You're not serious, "Kurt snapped back immediately. Rachel moved out of his way immediately, awkwardly stepping into the side.

"Blaine, last night you promised you would get home from the bar at eleven, and didn't come home until four."  Blaine opened his mouth and then shut it when he realized he had no counter argument.  "And then I woke up, and you were already gone to school," he continued, "I woke up at six.  Your class doesn't start until eight thirty, Blaine."  There was silence.  Kurt desperately hoped that his lover would change his mind, and stay for dinner.

"I-I'm so sorry, Penguin, but I promised the guys that I'd meet up with them at the bar tonight.  I can't just cancel."  Yes, actually, he could.

"Yes, actually, you could!"  Kurt raised his voice, growing more frustrated.  It was actually more pain than frustration, but he didn't know the difference anymore.  This has been going on for a couple months, and he just didn't want to have another dinner alone.  He felt his eyes glass up with tears, "Please."  Kurt actually had to beg his boyfriend to eat dinner with him.

"I'm sorry, I really am, but," he turned away from Kurt when he saw a tear go down his face, "I can't tonight.  Maybe --"

"-- tomorrow.  It's always maybe tomorrow.  That's what you said yesterday, and that's what you'll say tomorrow.  I'm glad you have your priorities straight, Blaine Anderson.  Now you better leave because you're already late.  God forbid your ' friends' miss you."  Kurt sounded so cold, and so defeated, it broke Blaine's heart.  He needed a drink.

Rachel stood to the side, rather awkwardly.  She was accustomed to the arguing, but it had become more and more frequent that she had gotten extremely uncomfortable.  "Kurt, I was going to go out tonight with Jesse, but if you want me to stay for dinner, I'm sure he would understand."

"No Rachel, I'll be fine.  At least someone understands," Kurt's eyes never leaving Blaine's head.

"Um, okay so, I'll be home at -- "

" -- eleven, right?"  Blaine headed out the door and reached to kiss his cheek, but Kurt moved away.  "Same script, different night."

and now onto the good stuff!  The first ACTUAL chapter will be up tomorrow!  There's a lot of arguing, a little bit of lying, another boy involved(don't fret!) and something extremely monumental and catalyst for the entire series!  Please write a review!  Even if it's "wow, this really sucks".  I just want to know that you're reading.  I'm nervous!  Enjoy :)!  I promise it gets a lot better.  Okay I'm rambling.  Here you go
