I always wonder about goodbye scenes in the modern day airport, what with all the new security restrictions of the last decade... But I'll try to suspend my disbelief for a moment and not think about it too much and try and accept it as written.

I'd be willing to bet one of them would buy a cheap plane ticket with no intent to use it (think the less than $100 flights that Southwest has) just to get to the terminal...
