*Filtered from Josh*Ok ladies and gents I am completely drawing a blank this year for Valentine's Day. Personally I really don't think its a big deal, its a day made up by the greeting card companies. (We all know this from my rant last year so I wil spare you.) But still its supposed to be a day where you get you "sweetheart" a special little ( Read more... )

Actually, the fake vacation dinner is a great idea, and super cute. He'd really appreciate it, and it's much differnt than the picnic you had in your room. Go for it!

yeah i guess its a little different than the pic-nic in my room. i think if i do this idea i may wait till the weekend and do it at his house (his parents are usually gone all weekend for hockey games) that way i can set it up in a bigger space than my room and have a kitchen to myself to prepare stuff.

now i have to get on the look out for Caribbean Cuisine. LoL.

There's a caribbean place in the little strip across from the sheridan centre....I think....It was pretty good when I was there.

they have pre-made food or you can buy caribbean spices etc and make the food yourself? strip across from the sheridan centre?...hrm...where? LoL. The only strip I know of is where my hairdresser is and Swiss Chalet and the Limo place.

Hey, girly. I totally agree that the island style dinner is a neat idea. You can even don a sexy grass skirt and some coconuts, which I'm sure he won't mind. ;)

Re: the watch, if you're the type of person to wear fancy watches, you'll appreciate the thought but in reality never wear it. I have two fancy watches in my drawer collecting dust!

where the HECK have you been? Just when I think you for sure are dead somewhere or kidnapped you just POP back into the picture. I guess life is busy for ya huh? :)

I like the grass skirt and coconuts idea. The more I talk about the "vacation pic-nic" the more I like it. LoL.

And really good point about the watch.

I think the Caribbean style theme is uber cute!! Sure, you're going away in May, but since it's in the dead of winter right now, it might be a nice reprieve anyway. Very creative!!

yeah?

i was really curious of what a guy thought of this idea. it seems more of something a girl would like more than a guy you know? but i guess a guy appreciates a meal cooked for him etc.

The decorating the room thing sounds good. I'd go with something personal, something where he can have a treasured memory, and that room thing sounds like such a thing.

The making his favourite meal stuff sounds good too. I could mention other things, but that's not for family viewing.

But yeah, go with the personal/memory thing. Even if you get a 'normal present', I'd go with something with a personal touch like a frame with photos of you guys together doing things that were fun etc.

yeah I think the fake vacation idea is what I will do since it seems to be everyone's fave. But I have this whole picture in my head of how I want to decorate it and I have a feeling I will be disappointed when I can't find some of the stuff.

I want those blow up palm tree's but I have no idea where I might find those...now its scavenger hunt time.
