I have been seeing a lot of friends asking if there is anyone still here in LJ land...it does seem like a ghost town complete with trick fainting horses and tumbleweed

I started with vitamins...a B complex and a metabolism boosting one a day...and then I worked on the food part...less sugar and bread more veggies and water...and then I started doing the 30 day challenge on wii Active...and it kicks ass...more of a life change rather than a diet really...but I feel great.
Just about everything I ramble about has been taken out of context lately and made to label me as "unstable" and many other choice words... so I guess if that's going to happen anyway, this is the place to do it. :)
I have lost 15 pounds so far since August on the diet that I went on only to reduce my cholesterol and triglycerides. The weight loss was a happy side effect of that (or at least it wasn't my primary goal with this diet). High fiber, lots of veggies, lots of water, and I've cut out things like white bread/refined carbs, soda, cheese, and red meat. It's helped a lot and my body feels happier about it too. Basically cleaning my system out of the years of "gunk" buildup from junk food. You're totally right, it is a lifestyle change.
I started a Zumba class a couple weeks ago, and it's pretty fun. :)
