Nic loves snow, she would play with it at every opportunity she gets...even when walking on any pathway she would just stick out her hand to sweep the snow off from the parapet.

I am also a sucker for Jap (cooked) food. I remembered I craved for the alaskan crabs so much when I returned from my holiday in 2007; I also 'chion' to Isetan when it held the first Hokkaido Fair to buy the crab to satisfy my craving. Of course the frozen crab cannot be compared to the fresh ones I took while in HOK but its good enough.

Thanks for sharing your photos! Looks really lovely! But I scared of cold. Brr! And imagine having to walk and walk in the cold with no car to hop into like in US or Australia. But I definitely was to make it to Hokkaido one day. Heard lots abt the beauty of the place.

I LOVE winter holidays so does the little one...but 2 winter holidays in consecutive years kind of made hubby 'sick' so I reckon we won't be heading anywhere cold for a while. Common headaches of winter are having to put on layers of clothing when out and taking off just as many when going indoors, moisturising, showering etc...it can be a nightmare :(

Perhaps you can try heading to HOK during their summer in late July/early August to see fields and fields of lavendar and sunflower blossoms, I believe the sight will be very lovely.

I always think that I am in the wrong line, should be working as holiday consultant...but then again planning holiday itinerary for work and leisure could be very different and might just kill all the joy when I actually travel for my own holiday.

Hubby and I are never the tour agency sort of people, we like to plan our own...think the last time we went on a tour was out of no choice to Finland in 2000 cos there weren't any F&E packages available during Dec and I wanted to spend X'mas in Santa Village.

My hubby said that my rebond hairstyle makes me look FAT :(

faintz.. where got fat?? really nice leh. perhaps it's time for him to change his specs liao kekeke actually while i was studying back then, thots did come to my mind to go into tourism but heard from many friends that it wun be easy and plenty of politics as well! wat u r doing now is as gd as being a holiday consultant, or even better still, it is planning for your own!

But it true, I have been putting on weight :(

I did a short stint at a travel agency when I first graduated years ago but quitted after 3 months because I cannot stand the 'smoky' environment (because alot of people smoked); and not that I don't like my marketing job. Well in life you take some and give some, isn't it.

Ya nice meeting you too, even though we are neighbours we hardly get a chance to bump into each other.

HOK is really lovely in all seasons (but not when one goes in between seasons), try making a trip there and you will fall in love with the place just like me.

Perhaps early planning and an adventureous spirit were our 'winning' formula.

You have done HK with 2 kids in tow, I'm sure you can do it in Japan too :)
