Summary: Travers talks to Giles after his return to England in season 6. WARNING: Nice Travers. Not Giles-friendly, but not bashing…I think.

Warning: I don’t know; maybe language and innuendo somewhere along the way.

Rating: maybe a mild FRT?

I enjoyed this, especially as an unintentional counterpoint to the end of the fic I posted today. Haha, I'm going around suggesting that Buffy should hit Travers, while here you've cooked up a rather likable version of him in contrast.

The scenario presented here is, I suppose, all subject to interpretation. And really, Giles' departure could easily be viewed in this light. I definitely vote for his leaving Buffy as the most idiotic moment in the series, and that really is saying something. :P

Reading Giles in this *was* a little painful, but maybe he deserves a little abuse for his actions now and again. It was definitely a fun read just by virtue of being a rather original character study. ^_^

Yeah, Giles is my second fav character (after Buffy), so writing him like this sucks for me too. Like you said, his decision to desert her was one of the crappiest things on the show - especially for his character. I'd even pit it against his choice to do the Cruciamentum.

I did have a bunny today to give an alternative suggestion for the reason he left. Maybe I should write it to make up for this one.

Well I like Giles but there are some moments I would strangle him. One was with the test before he decided to help. the other two are when he abonded Buffy after knowing that she was in heaven instead of hell. He could have helped her more than the others ever could. Dawn was to young and Spike wel he is cute but selfish.

The other time is when he told Buffy that she is the general and has to act like one. then they tell her that the potentials has to have some field expierce so they has to come with patrol. When something went wrong they threw her out of her own house. but when something went wrong by themself it was ok. the others I can understand a little but he was the only adult in their little group he should have know better. He could prevented more than he did now.

Love it how you wrote Travers.

I can think of at least one other semi-major time (her first day of college), but yeah, those are the top three douchebag moments for somebody I usually love. Figured it would be even more ironic for Travers to be the good guy in this story...just to rub it in Giles' face even more.
